United Airlines South Side Terminal B Replacement - George Bush Intercontinental Airport
GRN Vision principal Rick Van Diepen, LEED AP served as the Sustainability Team lead while at PGAL Architects.
This LEED Silver certified facility consists of 225,000 square feet and 30 gates served by common passenger holding areas on the ticketing level. Interior development of the facility includes passenger amenities and services, gate check-in, hold room, a Presidents Club, concessions, infrastructure support, baggage handling, and airline operations spaces.
The South Concourse connects to the existing Terminal B through a 80’ wide concessions mall which spans South Terminal Road. The Terminal B replacement consolidates most of United Airlines’ regional jet operations into a more spacious and flexible replacement concourse.
