GRN Vision Attends Nevada Supreme Court Groundbreaking in Downtown Las Vegas
GRN Vision was honored to be present at the groundbreaking ceremony in October for the first stand-alone courthouse for the Nevada Supreme Court in southern Nevada. The building was designed to achieve a Gold or Platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating under the US Green Building Council rating system. GRN Vision LLC was retained by the project developer, EHB Companies to serve as the sustainability strategist and LEED consultant for the project.
According to the project owner, Yohan Lowie, with LV Land Company LLC and EHB Companies, the courthouse will be equipped with cutting edge technology for communication, security and energy conservation systems.
"It may be the only LEED gold state supreme courthouse in the country," Lowie said.
The building will house chambers for Nevada Supreme Court justices as well as a 3-member Appeals Court which was approved by voters in 2014. The building also features a 72-seat courtroom where oral arguments will be conducted.
